Freddie Badeaux Jr, 86, a resident of Raceland and a native of New Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, January 14th 2025.
Mr. Badeaux is survived by his wife of 63 years, Diane P. Badeaux; sons, Troy Badeaux (Ana), and Tab Badeaux (JoAnn); daughter, Agnes B. Dominique; daughter-in-law, Zita R. Badeaux; brothers, Ronnie Badeaux and Bryan Badeaux,; sisters, Brunella B. Segura, Juanita B. Dardar, Carolyn B. Comeaux, and Bernadine B. Johnson; grandchildren, Kristi (William), Andrew (Kayla), Becca, Tabitha (Luke), Kristy, Brandy, Austin, and Adam; and great-grandchildren, Trip, Marigold, Shepherd, Kamden, Karter, Kirstin, Jared, and Ashley.
Mr. Badeaux was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Sr. and Anna Mae Meaux Badeaux, son, Tyrome Badeaux; granddaughter, Breanna Chadwick; son-in-law, Troy Dominique; brothers, Gilbert Badeaux, A.J. Badeaux, Lonny Badeaux, and Donald Badeaux; and sister, Vera Badeaux.
Freddie enjoyed a 27 year long career as a registered nurse. He was a member of several duck carving associations and was an avid duck carver. He was also a member of the New Iberia High School boxing team.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews, LA. A mass of Christian burial will start at 11:00AM.
