Frederick “Rick” Louis Ashcraft, age 74, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, passed away on December 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Mary Ashcraft; his children, Jennifer Ashcraft Blair and Joshua (Lindsay) Ashcraft; and his five beloved grandchildren, Jason Blair, Madison Blair, Aiden Blair, Hudson Ashcraft, and Vivian Ashcraft. He is also survived by his brother, Goldie (Tisha) Ashcraft; his sister, Lola (Bobby) Rutherford; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Lillie and Carolyn Puckett.
Married to the love of his life, Mary, Rick built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and steady strength. Together, they created a home where family always came first. Rick was a proud and loving father, and nothing brought him more joy than being “Paw Paw.” He was the kind of grandfather who made every moment fun, memorable, and full of warmth.
Rick will be remembered for his sense of humor, loyalty, and hardworking nature. He touched the lives of all who knew him—always ready with a joke, a helping hand, or a comforting presence. He never hesitated to step in when someone needed him, and his generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Though taken from us too soon, Rick leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and countless cherished memories that will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
