Frederick Joseph Bodungen

Frederick Joseph Bodungen passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 71 in Kenner, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Robert Bodungen. Born on October 14, 1953, in New Orleans Frederick was known for his commitment as a loving father and husband along with being one of the founders of the Wild Hogs Motorcycle Club. He was fun-loving and spirited with a passion for his sunset rides on his motorcycle. He also had a love for music and played guitar with his close friends. Frederick was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in 1972. He worked as a loyal employee of the United Stated Postal Service in Kenner, LA until retirement and served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Bodungen, and his loving children son Philip Joseph Bodungen; grandchildren and daughter Monica Bodungen Guerra (Marc) along with his stepsons Blaine and Brandon Wall, his mother Margaret Church Benbrook, sister Mary Lee Riviere (Don), along with nieces and nephews. Survived by brother Dennis Michael Bodungen (Cheryl) who sadly passed 10 days later. The family will be forever grateful to Hospice Staff of Anvoi for the loving care and comfort they provided during his final days. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial mass with visitation that will be held in his honor at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W Metairie Ave, Metairie, Louisiana 70003, on Friday, August 29, 2025, with visitation at 11:30 AM followed by the memorial mass at 1:00 PM. Following the memorial services will be a toast of praise for the celebration of life at The Kamp at 2317 Hickory Ave in Harahan, Louisiana 70123.
