William "Bill" Richard Stouder, Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on April 2, 1941, to the late Anna O'Neill Stouder and Karl Ross Stouder, Bill lived a life defined by love for his family, service to his community, and a steadfast devotion to his faith.

Bill attended Sacred Heart of Jesus School for elementary school. He went on to graduate from Holy Cross High School in 1959, where he was a proud member of the football team, playing running back with determination and heart. Following graduation, he served honorably in the Air National Guard, a commitment that reflected his lifelong sense of duty and pride in his country.

After his service, Bill began a long and fulfilling career at IBM, where he worked for 40 years before retiring on March 31, 2003. His time at IBM was more than just a job-it was where he formed many enduring friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Bill married the love of his life, Eileen Bosch Stouder, on October 28, 1967. Together they shared decades of marriage and raised two sons: William Richard Stouder, Jr. (Raquel) and Chad Michael Stouder (Cherie). He was a devoted father and grandfather, and his pride in his grandsons, Connor Michael Stouder and Cole Michael Stouder, was unmatched. Whether coaching his sons' teams at Bright Playground, serving as Booster Club President, or cheering from the sidelines, Bill was a constant and passionate supporter of his family.

Faith played a central role in Bill's life. A dedicated parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Church, he found joy and peace in attending Mass and being part of the church community.

Bill loved the outdoors and had a deep affection for animals-especially dogs. He was always ready to lend a hand, fix what needed fixing, or simply show up for those in need. A lifelong New Orleans Saints fan and season ticket holder, game day was always a special occasion.

But nothing brought Bill more joy than watching his sons and grandsons play ball. His support was unwavering, and his pride was immeasurable. He could always be found on the field or in the stands, cheering with enthusiasm and love.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Karl J. Stouder (Joan). He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen; his sons, William Jr. (Raquel) and Chad (Cherie); and his cherished grandsons, Connor and Cole.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 12pm on Wednesday October 1, 2025, at Jacob Schoen Funeral Home, located at 3827 Canal St. New Orleans, La 70119. The visitation will begin 10am.
