James Stouder Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home on Jan. 12, 2026.
James "Jim" Wade Stouder of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 85.

He was born on May 20, 1940, in Nappanee, Indiana to Jospeh "Joe" Stouder and Doris (Babcock) Stouder. Jim was a 1958 graduate of Nappanee High School. Jim dedicated 35 years of service to RR Donnelley in Warsaw where he was a valued and respected employee.

Upon retirement he moved to Dunedin, Florida where he enjoyed his time working at Honeymoon Island State Park as a volunteer. Jim spent his time wood carving nature scenes on park benches, catching rattlesnakes then transporting them away from the beach area. He simply loved being helpful and making sure people enjoyed their time at the beach. He was as fortunate enough to live at Anclote Key Preserve State Park for several years.

Jim moved to Toccoa, Georgia and enjoyed short drives to the Smokey Mountains for a day of hiking and shopping. In 2021 Jim moved back to Warsaw to be around family and friends. Even when he lived out of state, he always made it back to watch his grandkids school activities and sports. Jim enjoyed fishing and had a passion for creating things with his hands, from woodworking, crafts, painting, to tying his own fishing flies. He loved watching the Buccaneers and Steelers and became a Clemson fan when living in Toccoa. Jim was also a life-long huge Cub's fan that was carried on from his father.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Bruce (Cheryle) Stouder (Warsaw, IN); eight grandchildren, Nicole, Crystal, Alyssa, Jamie, Chase, Connor, Olivia, and Derek; eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one on the way. Also surviving is his ex-wife, Linda Faulkner (Warsaw, IN); his brother, Jay, (Barb) Stouder (Bremen, IN) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tonya Taylor, and sisters, Sally Wise, Kay Searls and partner Connie Wiesehan.

Jim's life will be celebrated privately by his family. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Memorial donations in Jim's name may be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 1048 S. 325 W., Pierceton, IN 46562.
