Annette Joyce Stouder, age 93, of Elkhart, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Annette was born on October 25, 1932, in Osceola, Indiana to the late Martin and Herminia (Hoberg) Olson. She was a graduate of Jimtown High School, class of 1950. On May 1, 1954, she married Robert D. “Bob” Stouder, and together they shared over 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in March of 2015.
Annette was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and her church. She was a longtime member of Osceola United Methodist Church, where she volunteered her time preparing the Sunday bulletin, decorating bulletin boards, assisting the church secretary, and singing in the church choir.
She was employed for many years with Adams Remco in the dispatch department and later retired from Acousticom at the age of 67. Outside of work, Annette was creative and talented. She enjoyed knitting blankets, sweaters, and Christmas stockings for family and friends, along with cross stitch and painting on canvas.
Annette loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed camping. She was a member of the Constantine, Michigan Camping Club and fulfilled her longtime dream of taking a hot air balloon ride. Those who knew her best will remember her fun and feisty personality, her strong faith, and the joy she found in her children and grandchildren.
Annette is survived by her children, Cynthia Fry of Elkhart, Lisa (Jim) Goodwin of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Marcia (Matt) Kunz of Schenectady, New York, Deanna Webb of Constantine, Michigan, Tonia Stouder of Elkhart, and Timothy Stouder. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Beverly Boots, Alberta Nelson, Donna June Chapla, Conrad Olson, Devon Olson, and Lora Nadine Bishop, as well as her sons-in-law, Leon Webb and Jeffery Fry.
