Frederick James Copley

Frederick J. Copley, 78, of Lynn, passed away on Saturday, September 28, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Katherine (Shestopal) Copley with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Frederick was born in Lynn, on July 9, 1946, son of the late Henry and Nancy (Ferguson) Copley, he was raised and educated in Lynn and attended Lynn Classical High School.
Early in his career he was a truck driver, and then worked as a carpenter for over 50 years before retiring. He was also a former teamster. Fred enjoyed playing scratch tickets, enjoyed cooking and often referred to as the "Best Cook Ever", he was extremely proud of his Irish Heritage and storytelling, and spending time at his camp at Lovell Lake in Wakefield, NH. The most important aspect of his life was his family. His family was his world and he loved any time he spent with them, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Helen Copley and her fiancé Dave Dexter, Nancy Thurell & Husband Todd, Jack Copley, Fred Copley Jr & fiancé Crystal Shortsleeves, Phil Copley & fiancé Cassi Dexter; his grandchildren; James, Adam, Brett, Travis, Jessica, Corey, Courtney, Tyler, Sofia, JaCoby, Nevaeh, Myah, Patrick; his great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Julian, Parker; his sisters, Barbara McCabe, Sue Trahant, Donna Rizzo
He was predeceased by a son, Billy Copley and his siblings, Pam, Betty, Jack, Vicky.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, from 1-5PM n the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway(Rt. 129), Lynn, followed by a service at 5PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
