Fred was a devoted employee of Herb Kohl/Kohl's Food Distribution for 27 years and was a dedicated member of the Greenfield Planning Commission for 12 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Allis for 41 years. He was an avid wood turner and model railroader.
