Frederick C. Hogue Jr.

Fredrick C. "Rick" Hogue Jr. of Boise died on Friday October 17, 2025, in Boise.

Private family services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Payette.

Mr. Hogue was born September 30, 1936, in Boise, son of Jack and Mary (Dutch) Hogue.

He spent his youth in Payette & Boise, graduating from Boise High School in 1954.

He attended college at Stanford University and at the University of Idaho.

He married Jean Latham in 1959, and they had a daughter Jennifer and a son Jack. They later divorced and he married Joan Limbaugh in 1970.

He fulfilled his military obligation by entering the Idaho Air National Guard 1959-1965.

He was Managing Director at F. H. Hogue Fruit & Produce Co. For many years. He also had a second successful career in retail operations.

Rick was a loving & kind son, brother and husband. He had many lifelong friendships in Boise.

Survivors include his brother, Tim E. Hogue; Cousin, Judith Roscoe; daughter, Jennifer Szwec (Michael); son, Jack F. C. Hogue (Randi); Grandchildren, Christopher Hogue, Gregory Hogue, Jacob Miler, Sarah Miller and James Smith (Jodi).

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Idaho Food Bank.
