Frederick J. Locke Jr. was born September 28, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up with his brother Edward in a close-knit family. In high school Fred met the love of his life, Christine. Soon after high school Fred proudly joined the United States Air Force and served as a Staff Sargent until 1969. He and Christine married and a couple of years later moved to and settled in Glendale, Arizona where they started a family and had 2 boys. Fred was a very involved dad, coaching baseball and soccer, teaching his boys to camp, hunt and fish. He served as a volunteer in the Sheriffs Posse for several years and had a long career as an Electrical Engineer with Mountain Bell/Qwest until retiring September 2001.

Fred's greatest joy however was his three grandsons. He loved spending time with them at the cabin, fishing, going on scavenger hunts, or just playing silly games.

Fred was proceeded in death by the love of his life, Christine, his brother Edward, and his parents Frederick Sr. and Anne. He is survived by his sons Fred (Kim), George (Amy), his three grandsons, Bodhi, Wyatt and Garrett, as well as many nieces and nephews who he adored.
