Dr. Frederick J. Oddi, 96, of New Castle passed away the morning of August 12, 2024 at The Grove at New Castle.
Born in New Castle on July 13, 1928, Fred was he son of the late Marcello and Mary Froello Oddi.
Fred attended Mahoning School, New Castle Senior High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He also attended Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He became a medical doctor and practiced medicine in Murrysville, PA for many years, retiring in 1994.
He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman and all-around outdoor enthusiast.
He is survived by two sons, Mark and Brian and two daughters, Bonnie and Sheila and his two sisters, Jean Magnone and Betty Pallerino.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, John Oddi, three brothers, Valentine, Albert and Andrew Oddi and one sister, Mary Lou Kawafuchi.
Honoring his wishes there are no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
