Born on September 6, 1941, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Frederick was the cherished son of the late Fredline and Violet (Carufel) Polednik. He received his education in the Pawtucket school system, culminating in his graduation from Tolman High School. Following his studies, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany.
Frederick dedicated over 23 years of his life to the Shaw's supermarket chain, where he worked diligently as a forklift operator in the warehouse. His commitment to his work and community was evident in every endeavor he undertook.
In 2017, he made Plymouth his home after moving from Brockton. A man of many passions, Frederick found immense joy in playing guitar and cherishing moments spent with family and friends. His warm smile and kind heart were a source of comfort to all who knew him.
Frederick's spirit will live on through his loving daughter, Wendy O'Sullivan and her husband Christopher of Buzzards Bay, and his dear sister, Ruth Kelly and her husband Christopher of Pawtucket, R.I. He was a cherished grandfather to Aidan, Collin, Chase, Colby, Anthony, and Darian, as well as a proud great-grandfather to Vera and Zander. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Donna Damiani.
Family and friends are invited to honor Frederick's life during visiting hours at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, located at 373 Court St., North Plymouth (near Cordage Park) on Sunday, November 23rd, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor on Monday, November 24th, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, 126 South Meadow Rd., Plymouth, at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.
In these moments of grief, we celebrate Frederick's legacy and the love that he shared with all of us. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
