Frederick "Fred" Ripper, 75, of Brookfield, OH, passed away on June 15, 2025 at his home after battling with pneumonia, non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and numerous heart conditions.
Fred is survived by his spouse, Faye Ripper, his son Ryan (Lisa-Parker) Ripper of Philadelphia, Pa., his daughter Shannon Ripper of Masury, Oh., his sister Pat Young of Washington Twp., Pa, his granddaughter Sarah McKelvey(John) of Warren, Oh., his grandson James Humphreys of Canfield, Oh., and his grandchildren Dakota Nieves of Philadelphia, Pa., Joshua Ripper, Ryan Ripper and Jennifer Ripper all of Philadelphia, Pa. Julius and Osiris McKelvey are his great-grandchildren of Warren, Oh.
His sister Carol Hessom and brother's Errol Ripper and Ronald Ripper precede him in death.
Fred was born in Allegheny Twp. Pa. in Natrona Heights on May 15, 1950 to Dale Leroy Ripper and Freda Margaret Shoemaker Ripper. He graduated from Kiski Area High School in 1968 and then went on to Zion Bible Institute in Rhode Island and then Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and then on to Regent University in Virginia Beach where he earned his Masters Degree. He worked for 49 years in full time church ministry and pastoral care. He fulfilled many positions including daycare director, school principal, various pastoral positions and counselor. He was on staff at First Christian Assembly in Liberty Twp., Oh., various churches in Virginia, Teen Challenge in Rehrersburg, Pa. and First Assembly of God/Family Life Church in Hermitage, Pa. where he retired in 2021. He also founded and started Cardinal Kiddie Kollege in Liberty Twp., Oh. which is still open and running to this day.
In his spare time, Fred enjoyed going to concerts in the park with his wife, fishing, driving to go sightseeing, watching old movies, visiting/vacationing with family and singing/listening to his praise and worship music.
Fred lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, churches, neighbors and all who knew him.
