Frederick Thompson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Foggie-Holloway's Funeral Home - Anderson on Dec. 1, 2025.
Frederick L. (Freddie Mc) Thompson age 54 of 1101 Williamston Road Apt 1A passed November 28, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Hospital. He was born in Anderson County and was the son of the late James Thompson Jr., and Shirley Mae Sims Thompson.

Fret, also known as Freddie Mc., touched the hearts of everyone who had the blessings of knowing him. His gift for music and dance was something truly special, and he poured joy into every song he created. Music wasn't just something Fret enjoyed, it was apart of who he was. He loved gathering with others, especially children, turning simple moments into memories filled with rhythm, laughter, and connection.

To those around him, Fret was an original. Someone whose presence could brighten the room and whose spirit left a mark on this place he called home. Everyone loved Fret, not just for his talents, but his kindness, his energy, and the way he made people feel, seen, and included.

Fret also had a deep love for wrestling. He never missed a match and would get so excited when it came on, even rushing to make sure he could watch the latest pay-per-view events. Those small moments of joy were big part of what made him who he was.

Fret brought light, laughter, and music into the lives of many. His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but his memory, and the joy he shared will continue to live on in every heart he touched.

Survivors include one sister, Dollie M. Ware of Anderson S.C., two brothers James O. (Jackie) Thompson of Laurens S.C., and Evender Thompson of Anderson S.C., two nieces Shaniese Thompson and Moriah Thompson both of Anderson S.C. and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 at Foggie Holloway . Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family is at their respective home.
