Frederick George Weiss, 62, of Belleview, Florida passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2025 in his home. Born in Trenton, NJ, on March 20,1963, son to the late Frederick R. and Elizabeth L. (Baylor) Weiss of New Jersey.

Known by many as "Fred", as well as "Rick", he was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, in New Jersey. During his school years he wrestled competitively, enjoyed swimming and was an avid skier. As a pint size 10 year old he was fortunate enough to have served as mascot for his future alma mater's football team, with a proud smile he would lead the Stateliners out on the field wearing the number "1/2" on his very own PHS football uniform. His greatest passion was music, and had a true gift for the piano. Fred would hear a song and could begin to play it with ease, almost prodigy like. Later in life he spent time working and living in South Carolina and Virginia, until making Florida his home for the remainder of his years where he lived with his much loved dogs. He enjoyed cooking on his grill, being outdoors, spending time with friends and taking time to call his family.

A faith filled man, Fred was incredibly kind and caring to anyone who entered his life. He is survived by his two sisters, Dawn (Jim) Armstrong of Buchanan, VA and Nancy (Brian) Mulvihill of Allentown, PA, nephews Christopher, Kyle, Graham and Griffin. In addition, he is survived by stepchildren and step grandchildren from a prior marriage. His sisters would like to express thanks to family, friends and neighbors, but especially to his long time friend Tom for always being there to help Fred when he needed a ride, or to simply hang out, enjoy a drink and good conversation. You will be missed by many, brother, and may you now Rest in Eternal Peace with Mom & Dad.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated, and his family will mourn him privately. Feel free to leave condolences and your fondest memories of Frederick via the guestbook provided.

I was so lucky to have a wonderful neighbor you never had a bad word towards anyone. I hope you are now at the gates playi g piano for the people lucky enough to come to heaven.

Fred was a devoted step father and grandfather. To myself Crystal Mattison of Arkansas, William Wallace of Florida, 1 grand daughter Julianna Mattison of illinois, And 5 grandsons, Elijah Mattison and Zachary Mattison of NC. Tucker, Brayden and Weston Wallace of wildwood, Florida. They all loved him so much! My son and ex husband just visited Fred in June, As we do every year and one of the stops that my children looked forward to the most was going to see their pap pap! If they didn't visit anyone else, they were going to see their pap pap!! He was at my wedding, which meant a great deal to me. This man has been in my life since 2004! Him and Thomas Ziegler were friends for 26 long year's. They did everything together and if you seen one you seen the other. I hate that Tom has lost his best friend. But we have all lost someone near and dear to our hearts. Family does not have to be blood to mean everything to you. Fred was adopted when he was younger, but despite that he never made any of us feel like we weren't his family. I was his one and only daughter, and he would tell me that all the time. No matter what anyone else says, I know what I was told all my life and nobody can take my memories or advice he has given me away! Fly high with your dad in that beautiful sky and until we meet again. We love you so much!
