Frederick Wessels Obituary
Frederick Wessels IV, 60, of Landrum, SC, passed away on April 15, 2022. He was the son of Frederick Wessels III and Betty Joyce Turner, born in Savannah, GA, on January 5, 1962. Fred is survived by his sister Rosalie King (Wayne) of Guyton, GA; nephews: Adam Wayne King of Atlanta, GA, and Eric Hunter King (Alexis) of Meldrim, GA; and several surviving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He graduated from Newberry High School in Newberry, SC, and Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, where he was in Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Fred was active in Boy Scouts of America and Hawknest Skip Patrol for many years. He was previously employed with the Greenville Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA on May 14, 2022.
