Frederick Nelson Wismer

WISMER, Frederick Nelson - age 91, of Corunna, died December 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Visitation will be held from 11:30 - 1:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Frederick was born September 23, 1932 in Flint, the son of Frederick Roy and Bernice (Tyler) Wismer. He was a 1950 graduate of Goodrich High School and attended Michigan State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving form 1952 - 1956 where he was a member of the ceremonial color guard in Washington DC in 1954. Frederick retired from General Motors in 1994 where he was a machinist for 36 years. Frederick was also a member of the Two Cylinder Antique Tractor Club and enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing. Surviving are:  two sons, David Wismer and Duane (Mary) Wismer; granddaughter, Angelina (Shaun) Brailey; great-granddaughter, Onalee Brailey; two sisters, Mary (Chuck) Sumpter and Linda Dow; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; two wives, Onalee Wismer and Maxine Wismer; grandson, Roy Wismer; daughter-in-law, Colleen Wismer; and two brothers, J.T. and Edwin Wismer.
