Fredrick E. "Fred" Taylor

Fredrick E. "Fred" Taylor, age 92, of Jeffersonville, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at his home with family by his side. He was born June 19, 1933, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Willaim "Bill" and Zola (Henn) Taylor. Fred was a Veteran of both the United Staes Army and Air Force, serving during the Korean War, and was a life member of the Washington Court House V.F.W. Post #3762. Fred had been a welder with Morris Bean Company in Cedarville and Yellow Springs for more than 20 years, he had also worked in the maintenance department with Fayette Memorial Hospital for 15 years, and retired after working with his son Jeff at Willis Lumber for 10 years. In his spare time Fred enjoyed carving and woodworking. Fred is survived by five children, Teresa Chaffin of Jeffersonville, Tony (Kim) Taylor of Washington C.H., Jeff Taylor of Jeffersonville, Lenhard (Cindy) Taylor of London, and Fredrick (Nikki) Taylor, Jr. of Williamsport; grandchildren, Crystal, Courtney, Lindsey, Jeffery, Ian, Tracey, Regina (Matthew), Anna, Lee, Melissa, Lydia, Matthias, Isaac, Nehemiah, Micah, and Obediah; great grandchildren, Jocey, Bishop, Aleecia, Ian, Sophia, Asher, Drew, Dillon, Emma, Jaylee, and Laken; great great granddaughter Legacy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Taylor on April 19, 2005; son Kevin Taylor; grandson Ryan; great grandchildren, Cierra, Tirzah, and Lilly; and he was the last of all his siblings. Fred's family would like to thank the Veteran's Administration, and Heartland Hospice, especially nurses Courtney and Kaylee, for their loving care and held during this difficult time. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Jeffersonville Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery in South Charleton, Ohio. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jeffersonville Church of Christ. Powers-Kell Funeral Home, Jamestown, is assisting the family.
