Freeman Staten was born on August 5, 1961, to Rose Mary Bush-Stayton and Freeman Ford in Sedalia, Missouri.
He moved to Kansas City, MO with his family while still a young child.
Freeman accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Home Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School District, graduating from Lincoln High School. After high school he was employed as a maintenance technician.
Freeman departed this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Mary, his father Freeman, and a sister Katinka Houston.
He leaves to cherish his memory his stepfather Charles Bush Sr., his 11 siblings, brothers Preston Stayton, Sedalia, MO., Ronald Staten, Carson Staten, Charles Bush Jr., III, of Kansas City, MO, Jerry Ford, Terry Ford and Jerry Ford II., his sisters Theresa Purnell, Misha Bush, Annette Bush, and Jannetta Bush of Kansas City, MO., daughters: Alecia Staten - Reeder, Ashley Staten, Rose Mary Staten, and Beonica Murray of Kansas City, MO; his loving grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, a host of family, and his close friends Mike Williams, Tony Young, Kenny Shears, Clint Hupp, Rodney Gorham.
Disposition Private.
