Freida Powell Obituary
She was born in Gaston County on January 1, 1949 to the late Travis and Jeanette Bryant.
Freida is survived by her husband Pete Powell, sons Duane Bryant (Lori), Steve Travis, stepson Bryan Powell, grandson Stevie Travis (Becky), great grandson Aidyn Travis, brother Greg Bryant (Twila), sister Sherry Canterbury (Dennis), nephew Jeff Bryant (Nicole) and great nephew Micah Bryant.
She was a precious wife, mother, grandmother, and sister with a giant heart of love. Freida loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. Her favorite hobbies were babysitting her great grandson Aidyn and camping. She was a very humble and sweet lady whose greatest joy
was caring for her family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, at Greene's Funeral Service South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Gaston Memorial Park. The service will be held in the Mausoleum across the road from the main cemetery.
