French Timothy Hinkle, 46, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at ARMC surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 20 years to Christy Patterson Hinkle who survives.
French was a Tobacconist at JR Tobacco and Cigarette Outlet for over 17 years. He was a 1997 graduate of Western Alamance High School where he participated in Football and Wrestling. French was a volunteer fireman in Gibsonville and with the North Central Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He was an avid Carolina Panthers, UNC Tarheel and Alabama fan. French enjoyed WWE wrestling and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Christy Patterson Hinkle of the home and his son, Kaleb Holt Hinkle, also of the home; his mother, Carolyn Hinkle of Burlington; father and mother-in-law, Aaron and Kay Patterson; sisters-in-law, Heather Patterson of Burlington and Ashley Morris and her husband, Jeff of Durham; nephews, Ashton Morris and Leighton Morris and a niece, Makenna Joyce Morris.
A service to celebrate French’s life will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Westside Fellowship by Rev. Mike Mitchner. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45Pm prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a College Scholarship Fund for Kaleb Hinkle, c/o State Employees Credit Union Account ending in 02.
