Frieda Velma Greathead

Frieda Velma (Lindquist) Greathead, age 92, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Lowell on Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lowell on April 27, 1933, and was the daughter of the late William F. and Edith B. (Sykes) Lindquist.
Frieda was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School, class of 1951. Frieda worked in many clerical capacities during her life, including the family business of Nickles Dairy located at Boston Road, Lowell MA. Later Frieda was employed at Wang Laboratories and the Dracut Senior Center.
Frieda enjoyed camping trips with her family, watching the Boston Red Sox and Lowell Spinners, reading, listening to music and trips to the beach. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Dracut Historical Society.
Frieda is survived by her sons Warren J. and wife Lisa (DiZazzo) Greathead of Methuen, MA and William B. and his wife Arlene (Leczynski) Greathead of Groton, MA as well as her five grandchildren, Benjamin Greathead and partner Fallon Hurd of Maynard, MA, Joshua and his wife Catherine (Katie) Greathead of Townsend, MA, Nicole and her husband Christian Catron of New Port Richey, FL, Erin and her husband David Fredrick of Townsend, MA and Jacob Greathead of Groton, MA along with eight great-grandchildren and several nephews and close friend Marie Maron.
Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
