It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gabrial Marciano Barger.
Gabrial left a memorable mark on the lives of all who knew him as a devoted and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Gabrial's legacy will be deeply felt, and he will be greatly missed.
Gabrial was born on November 1st, 2000, in Albuquerque, NM to Sherry Garcia and Jesse Barger.
Growing up, Gabrial's enthusiasm for sports showed in his passion for playing. He played and participated in many sports, such as football, basketball, baseball and wrestling. He was definitely a team player. The perfect all-American boy! Gabrial was always so well mannered, respectful, kind and loving to not only his family and friends, but to anyone he crossed paths with. He was a gentle spirit, always known for his love of animals. Gabrial was particularly fond of his beloved Pomeranian Chihuahua Cookie and his two cats Goldberg and Weezer that he grew up with. He was so strong willed, smart, determined and a very handsome and independent young man. He was a proud high school graduate from Legacy High School in 2019. Gabrial had an infectious personality, a beautiful smile, always bringing joy and laughter to any room he entered. Gabrial's presence in this world was a gift, and he will forever be remembered for his kind heart, gentle soul, and devotion to those he loved. May he rest in peace.
Gabrial is survived by his mother Sherry Garcia, father Jesse Barger, stepmother Tanya Barger, his two favorite cousins that were, in his eyes, his brothers, Cruzito Baca and Junio Lopez. His stepbrother Michael Valenzuela and stepsister Mikaela Valenzuela, grandfather Larry Lopez, grandfather Eddie Barger, grandmother Monica Martinez, several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother Carmen Valencia, stepbrother Nathaniel Valenzuela, baby cousin Denali Jessedy Martinez, baby cousin Angel Jewels Baca, and cousin Joshua Sanchez.
Though his time with us was short, Gabrial will never be forgotten. His memory will live on forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 4, 2025, at Garcia Mortuary- Chapel of Angels, located at 624 8th Street Southwest, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102, starting at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the Celebration of Life, in the Chapel of Angels reception room.
