Gabriel Trinadad Lopez

Gabriel "Gabe" Trinidad Lopez, lovingly known to many as "Grimlock," passed away on May 13, 2025, in Spokane, Washington, at the age of 45. Born on May 4, 1980, in Wiesbaden, Germany, Gabe lived a life marked by adventure, camaraderie, and a deep sense of loyalty.
A proud Navy veteran, Gabe dedicated a significant portion of his life to service. His time in the U.S. Navy forged him into a man of resilience and honor. The friendships he made while serving were carried with him throughout his life, as he continuously exemplified the values instilled in him during those formative years.
After his service, Gabe found a brotherhood with the Mongols Motorcycle Club. Traveling alongside his Mongols brothers, he embraced the open road and the spirit of freedom it symbolized. These journeys were not just physical but also spiritual, as they allowed him to explore new horizons and forge unbreakable bonds.
Gabe was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Josh Lopez. Cherished memories remain with his surviving family: his father, Tom Lopez of New Mexico; his mother, Heather Lopez of Jacksonville; his brothers, Zack Lopez of Wilmington, Tiran Lopez of Texas, and Steven Lopez of Colorado; and his sisters, Amie Aquino and Abbey Lopez, both residing in Connecticut, and Amanda Lopez of Guam. Gabe also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever remember their uncle's adventurous stories and kind heart.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gabe's life during a visitation on Friday, May 23rd, from 6 - 8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24th, at the same location. Following the service, Gabe will be laid to rest with U.S. Navy Honors at Onslow Memorial Park.
Though Gabe's journey on this earth has come to an end, he continues to inspire all who knew him. His legacy of courage, loyalty, and love will remain etched in our hearts forever.
