Gail Lynn Boneck,
Our beloved Gail was a devoted and loving mother to Samantha Boneck. Dearest sister to Shawn Boneck and Mark Boneck. Caring and thoughtful Aunt to Crysta and Angela. Great Auntie to Joyce and Leonardo. Survived by her daughter, sister, brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and her fur baby Binx. Preceded in death by her parents Joyce & Elroy Boneck, her brother Tommy Boneck, her Aunt Florence & Uncle Eddie, Aunt Joanie and Samantha's father (Harley).
Gail was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the oldest child of four. She graduated from Hamilton High School in Milwaukee. Later in 1982 she graduated from Alverno College with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology. In all types of media her talents shined through. Her favorite areas were oil and acrylic portraits as well as cloisonne enamels which is an ancient form of enamelware that fuses metal work with glass work. At Alverno her talent was recognized, and she received the Layton Art League Scholarship. Sister Lucinda Hubing a lover of art education at Alverno and renowned artist was Gails mentor who was always kind, encouraging and frequently shared words of wisdom.
Gail had a strong work ethic starting at age16. About 1987 her employment with Milwaukee County began. Initially she worked for CATC (Milwaukee County Child & Adolescent Treatment Center). This position diverged into being a probation Officer at Milwaukee County until about 2013.
1988 was Gails favorite the year her only child was born, Samantha Joyce Boneck. Truly the light of her life. Gail enjoyed life over the years. Traveling, biking, music, drawing, jewelry making, crafting, trips to Chicago (ballet, art museum etc.), shopping, restaurants, humor and get together with friends. Towards the later part of her life. She continued to enjoy learning, reading, cooking, nutrition, antiques, history, genealogy, the simple joys of watching nature, spending time with family or her fur babies Binx& Rosey and talking on the phone.
Gails devotion to God was unparalleled. Her last few years was spent in
Madison, WI to be near her daughter. Gail loved her family, God and her friends. Our beloved Gail is deeply missed!
