Gail R. Byam
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt;
Gail R. (Totton) Byam, 78, of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 14, 2025.
She was the loving wife for over 44 years of Steven A. Byam, who survives her.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, July 24, 1946, to the late Herbert and the late Rita (Evans) Wilkinson, Gail attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School.
Gail worked at Wang Laboratories in Lowell for over 22 years before earning a nursing assistant certificate. She went on to work at Tewksbury State Hospital for 15 years in the Aid's s unit there.
In her spare time, Gail enjoyed time with her family, going on long drives, and being at the beach or at her time-share in Aruba.
Some of Gail's hobbies included; family time, hiking, and making crafts.
Besides her husband Steven, Gail is survived by a son, Gregg T. Byam and his wife Kelley of Dracut, MA; four grandchildren, Sarah Abdulla, Lauren Byam, Charis Carroll, and Zachary Byam; two brothers, Vernon Totton and his wife Susan of Dracut, MA, and Tommy Totton of Lowell, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Gail was the mother of the late Kirk C. Byam and the grandmother of the late Michael "Mikey" Carroll.
Friends may call for a Memorial Visitation at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:15 A.M. with a Memorial Service to follow in the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. Burial will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
