Steven A. Byam
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle;
Steven A. Byam, 69, of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday March 8, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband of Gail R. (Totton) Byam who predeceased him on January 14th of this year.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 11, 1955, the son of the late Arthur and the late Ruth (Hamel) Byam, he attended Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High school in the class of 1973. Steven went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lowell (nka UMass Lowell).
Steven worked as a mechanical engineer with Next Computing in Nashua, NH, and was previously employed by Avid Technology and Wang Laboratories.
Among his many interests, Steven enjoyed hiking, camping, outdoor activities, Boston sports teams, but mostly cherished the time spent with family and friends.
Friends may call for a Memorial Visitation at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:15 A.M. with a Memorial Service to follow in the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. Burial will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
