Gail "Williamson" Fields

Gail Williamson Fields, 81, of the Boardman community of Evergreen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, while in the Novant-New Hanover Regional Medical Center, with family by her side.

Gail was born on March 29, 1944, daughter of the late Wildrof Devon Williamson and Louise Hammond Williamson. In addition, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Horace G. "Josh" Fields; her son-in-law, Malcolm Brown; sister, Betty Branch.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Caines officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

Visitation will be from 2:00-2:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.

Gail was a loving home-maker and also was a business partner, alongside her husband, for Fields Farm Land Clearing & Drainage.

Gail leaves behind to cherish her life and legacy, her two loving daughters, Karen Fields Brown of Evergreen, Stephanie Fields Hammond and husband, Shayne, of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Blair Duncan, Fielding Hammond, Bess H. Frankoff, Myles L. Brown; great-grandchildren, Glennly Frankoff, Hammond Frankoff, and Raylee Hammond.
