David was born on November 29, 1940 to the late David Oliver McClary Sr. and Cornelia Blanche Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye Inman McClary.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Internment will follow in the McClary Family Cemetery in Evergreen with Pastor Dale Hester officiating.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila F. McClary of Evergreen; two sons, David Kipling McClary (Gracie) of Whiteville and Milton Brant McClary (Charity) of Evergreen; grandchildren, Sara Brown (Matt), Nicole Vetrano (Noah), Zachary McClary; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Audrey, and Eleanor Brown.
