Gail M. Grice, age 66, of Ridgeland, Mississippi, passed away on November 27, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 27, 1958, in Indianola, Mississippi, to Billy and Sue McAdams, Gail was a woman who truly lived life to the fullest.
A graduate of Belhaven University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree, Gail was a proud alumna who also made her mark on the basketball court during her college years. She carried her passion for teamwork and perseverance into her professional life, serving as the Safety & Security Director at the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
Outside of her career, Gail was known for her warm spirit and infectious energy. She never met a stranger and was a true social butterfly, always brightening any room with her presence. Her love for life was matched only by her devotion to her family. She found immense joy in the time spent with her grandkids, Eva, Hattie, and Hank, and cherished every opportunity to create lasting memories with them.
Gail was also an avid Ole Miss fan and enjoyed traveling to see the ocean, savoring a good drink on the beach. Her enthusiasm for life was captured in her own words: "It was a good ride and I would do it all over again."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Grice; her parents, Billy and Sue McAdams; and her brother, Lee McAdams.
Gail is survived by her husband, Greg Crockett; son, Brad (Erin) Grice; sister, Joy (Robert) Naquin; sister, Frankie (Leslie) Barlow; and grandchildren- Eva, Hattie, and Hank Grice.
A memorial visitation to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home, 759 Highway 51, Madison, MS 39110.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) in Gail's honor.
Gail's legacy of kindness, love, and vibrant energy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
