GAIL HUNECK

GAIL HUNECK, 88, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Parkview Hospital-Randallia in Fort Wayne. She was born on March 11, 1935 in Norwood, Mass. to the late Raymond and Grace (MacBride) Rafuse Sr. On Sept. 5, 1959, in Marion, she married Robert Huneck. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and Dove's Nest. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. Gail enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, and playing cards. Surviving are her children, Lisa Collins, Mark (Shelly) Huneck, Kurt (Bev) Huneck, Michael (Erin) Huneck, and Christopher Huneck; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Gail was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and five siblings. Mass of Christian Resurrection is 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m., Memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Northeastern Indiana.
