Gail S. Jutras, 73, of Adelaide Avenue, Smithfield, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the HopeHealth Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was surrounded by her family and loving husband, Russell A. Jutras, with whom she shared 50 beautiful years of marriage.
Gail was born in Woonsocket and was the cherished daughter of the late William and Carmen (Deshaies) Nerbonne. She had a deep sense of compassion and spent her life helping others without hesitation. Gail's kind and caring nature touched the lives of many, and her generosity knew no bounds.
For 35 years, Gail called Smithfield her home, where she created countless memories with her loved ones. Prior to her retirement 12 years ago, she served as a postal clerk at Corliss in Providence. Gail's dedication and commitment to her work were admired by her colleagues and customers alike.
In addition to her devoted husband, Gail is survived by her siblings: Carol Sliney of North Smithfield, Richard Nerbonne of West Glocester, and Debra Nerbonne of Central Falls. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were fortunate to have her as their aunt. Gail's beloved dog, Sofie, was also a constant source of joy and companionship in her life.
Gail will be remembered as a sweet and gentle soul who selflessly put others before herself. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:30am at Highland Park Cemetery in Johnston. Visitation is respectfully omitted.
