Gail J. Rochette
Tyngsboro-Gail J. (Huggins) (Albert) Rochette, 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital, following an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of Andrew C. Rochette.
Gail was born in Lowell on November 9, 1948, a daughter of the late George P. and Doris A. (Shaughnessy) Huggins. She attended the Dracut Schools and was a 1966 graduate of Dracut High School. For forty years Gail was employed as a bookkeeper for many local businesses.
Gail loved going out for breakfast and dining out, bowling, traveling, dancing, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed spending the holidays with her family. She was a volunteer at many church functions and a former member of the Pepperell Christian Fellowship Church. She loved cookouts with her family, Bingo, and Foxwoods. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events, playing card games, and playing cribbage with Andrew, family, and friends.
Gail was the mother of the late Kerri Gelinas who passed away in 2013.
In addition to her husband Andy, she is survived by her children, Rick J. Albert II and his wife Elissa of Mason, NH formerly of Pepperell and Lowell, MA, and Kenneth B. Albert of Lowell; a son-in-law, Jason J. Gelinas, Sr. of Dunstable, formerly of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Jason "Jay" Gelinas II, Alexis K. Gelinas, Shamus A. Gelinas, Kristianna Albert, Savannah Albert, Amber L. Albert, Richard G. Albert, and Corey Albert; four great grandchildren, Ava Gelinas, Olivia Gelinas, Victor Cruz, and Maverick Cruz; her siblings, Phyllis Byron and her husband Robert of North Carolina, Debra Madden of Pelham, NH, Lyla Smith and her husband Brian of Tewksbury, Vanessa Surprenant of Manchester, NH, and Tina Steed of Virginia, George Huggins and his wife Dolly of California formerly of Lowell, Russell Huggins of North Carolina formerly of Lowell and Nashua, Donald J. "Toad" Huggins and his wife Dianne M. (Rondeau) of Dracut; several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews; her mother-in-law, Donna M. (Colby) Rochette formerly of Punta Gorda, FL and Pepperell; her in-laws, Beth A. (Rochette) Zis and her husband Steven of Hampton, NH, and Kelly Prescott of Mesa, AZ. Gail was the former wife of Richard J. Albert, Sr. of Lowell. She also leaves many dear friends.
Gail was the sister of the late Paula Danley.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2024 from 2 until 6 PM.
GAIL'S FUNERAL SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY MORNING AT 10:30 AM FROM THE FUNERAL HOME, FOLLOWED BY HER FUNERAL SERVICE AT 11 AM IN THE CHAPEL OF ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY CHELMSFORD.
