Gail Snyder

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gail Snyder, who left this world on November 16, 2025.

Gail, born on May 28, 1955, was a beacon of love and kindness, spreading warmth to everyone she met. A native of northeastern Ohio, she touched countless lives with her thoughtfulness and dedication to helping others. She was a loving mother, a caring sister, and a devoted friend. With just a few words, she could brighten up even a darkest night.

Always with a book in her hand, Gail was an avid reader from a young age. Her favorites were mysteries and fantasy. She also had a love for music, evidenced through her talent for piano or singing, especially while doing household chores. Even her laughter was melodious, which she shared generously.

After earning an undergraduate degree from Malone College, Gail later completed her graduate program through Walsh University, allowing her a career as a clinical counselor. She retired as a manager at Mercy Concern, where her empathetic nature and deep understanding of the human psyche allowed her to guide many through their most challenging times. As an EMDRIA certified therapist, she used her skills to bring relief and solace to those struggling with trauma. Her wisdom and immense intellect improved the lives of many.

What mattered most to Gail was her family, both human and feline. She leaves behind her daughters, Melanie (Mike) Stewart and Meredith (Aaron Cates) Jeffrey; her sisters, Cindy Evers and Darlene Seymour; her brother-in-law, Gary Seymour; and her sister-in-law, Hope Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Ferrell; her mother, Kathryn Ferrell; her brother, David Ferrell; and her brother-in-law, Jim Evers. Her love and kindness will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Gail's life will be celebrated at the Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home, 2222 Fulton Road Northwest, Canton, Ohio, 44709, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, with friends welcome to call on the family at 11:00am EST and a Celebration of Life service at 1:00pm EST.
