Gail Mary Turnau, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully in Mason, OH, surrounded by her family on September 29, 2024. Born in Cincinnati, OH on June 30, 1936, Gail led a fulfilling life dedicated to her roles as a teacher for Sycamore schools and as a loving matriarch to her family.
Gail held a Master's Degree in Education and spent many dedicated years shaping the minds of her students with her passion for teaching and love for her students. She was known for her kindness, dedication, and unwavering support for her students, colleagues, and community. Gail's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A faithful viewer of Fox news, Gail was always ready for a spirited discussion about current events and politics. Her love for her family and her commitment to her work reflected her deep sense of duty and care towards those around her.
Gail is survived by her daughter Amy (Mark) Duckro, son Jeffrey (Karen) Turnau, grandchildren Robert, Ryan (Lauren), Conrad, Brandon, and Justin, great-granddaughters Adelyn, Cora and Emma. Her memory will be cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family will be receiving friends at Evans Funeral Home 741 Center St. Milford, Ohio Friday October 4, 2024 12:30 - 1:30 PM with funeral at 1:30 PM. Entombment to follow at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery. May she rest in peace, knowing she was loved and appreciated by all who knew her.
Gail was preceded in death by: parents John & Gertrude Vandersluis and husband William Turnau.
