FULTON--Gale Warren Midkiff, 85, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was born May 22, 1940 to the late Edward Everett Midkiff and the late Josie Via Midkiff. He was a faithful member of Itawamba Christian Church and a devoted follower of Christ. Gale was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Lodge #444. A proud native of West Virginia, Gale carried a lifelong love for his home state. He graduated from E-town High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and went on to work as a tool and die machinist for 45 years. Known for his strong work ethic and skillful hands, he also enjoyed carpentry and took pride in creating things that would last. In his younger years, Gale was an accomplished athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. His love of sports continued throughout his life, especially University of Kentucky basketball and West Virginia football. One of his greatest joys was watching sports alongside his daughter, Merrie. Gale was a gifted musician who loved listening to and playing music. He was a devoted husband and father who placed family above all else. He was married to Emma Jean Kirk for 47 years until her passing in 2006. He later married Glenda Youngblood, and they shared eight loving years together. Family meant everything to Gale, particularly his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his faith, dedication, kindness, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. At his request, there will be no public services. Burial will be in Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Youngblood, of Fulton; daughter, Merrie Midkiff of Agoura Hills, CA; son, Martin Midkiff of Winchester, KY; grandchildren, Thomas Midkiff of Germany, T.J. Midkiff of KY, Landon Hull of KY, Josie Page Midkiff of KY, Anna "Lulu" Rogers, of Ky; great granddaughters, Delilah and Oakley Midkiff, brother, Noel (Jean) Midkiff of Fulton, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Jean Midkiff; parents, Edward and Josie Midkiff; son, Timothy Warren Midkiff; sisters, Hope Wright, June Tinker, JoAnne Cole, and Ruth Craddock; brothers, Kenneth Midkiff, Jake Midkiff, and Harley Midkiff.
