Garland Lee Hehman was 87 years old when he passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in North Richland Hills, Texas on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Garland was born August 8, 1938 in Kentucky. Garland, with his wife, and daughter moved to Texas to be near their other children in 1988. Garland was the youngest of seven children, all of whom have predeceased him.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Hehman, his four children, Sheila Hill, Scott Hehman, Bob Hehman, and Michele Mardente; four grandchildren, Johann Hehman, Julie Henry, Danielle Mardente and Ian Hehman; and four great grandchildren, Madison Henry and Mason Henry and two children by Ian Hehman.
Garland loved his family above all else; he coached little league baseball and basketball, he supported his kids in any of their endeavors whether it was sports, scouts, theater, music, or just hanging with friends. Garland held a job he truly loved as an outside salesman for a local welding company. He will be remembered the most for being a jokester; he had a joke for everyone about everything, and he never forgot a joke.
