Sylvia Atilano, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Sylvia was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, where she began her career as a hairdresser. Years later she and her family relocated to CD Juarez, Mexico. It was during these years that she fell in love with who would become her husband, Jesus Atilano. They married after his return from the Vietnam War. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, tradition and faith.
After relocating to El Paso, Sylvia was employed by the Texas State Center for Special Needs, where she worked with dedication and compassion. Beyond her professional work, she found her greatest joy in her home, dedicating herself to raising her family. She created a warm and welcoming home, guided by strong values, traditions & faith.
Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose love shaped the lives of those she held dear. She is survived by her children Brenda, Eddie and his wife Lorena, Joella, Isaac and Ruth; six grandchildren- Cesar, Adrian, Scott, Daniel, Valentina and Sebastian; and three precious great-granddaughters- Sofia, Mia and Aurora.
Sylvia's legacy of love and strength will continue to guide her family for generations to come.
" A mother's love is a light that never fades". Sylvia's love will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
