Garrett Logan Simmons, age 25, of Coopersville, MI passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born in Glendale, AZ to Donald Simmons and Kelly Sievert. Garrett fought and beat cancer, enjoyed cars and going fast, he grew up playing hockey and later in life grew interest in flowers and plants especially sunflowers. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Kelly (Tim) Maguire; father, Don (Karyn) Simmons; brother, Zachary Simmons and his children, Creek and Porter; sister Caitlin (Grahm) Cooper and her children, Stone and Sutton; grandparents, Gary (Lyn) Sievert and Jean Simmons. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Coopersville Reformed Church, 423 W Randall St, Coopersville, MI 49404. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Coopersville Reformed Church, with Rev. John Hines officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, 20750 Civic Center Drive Suite 180 Southfield, MI 48076, or Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital foundation, 25 Michigan St. NE. Ste. 4100 Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Condolences for the family may be left on Garrett’s guestbook at www.throopfh.com.
