Danny Lyle Obituary

Danny Lyle Sr., age 65, of Coopersville, MI passed away at his home on Friday, August 15, 2025, in the comfort of his son's arms.

He was born in Bloomington, IL to Paul Edward "Dale" and Nellie (Dean) Lyle. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Lyle; niece Ellyn Barford and sister-in-law, Pam Lyle.

Danny was a man of warmth, humor, and quiet strength. A lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears, he rarely missed a game and loved sharing that passion with family, friends, and doctors, especially after moving to Michigan.

He found joy in the simple things, he was an avid golfer in his younger days, later transitioning to playing virtual golf as the years went on. He cherished gathering with loved ones, and making people laugh with his quick wit and easygoing nature. He was also a dedicated entrepreneur owning and operating his own painting and wallpaper business for many years.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kim Lewis-Lyle; children, Amanda (Ryan) Wells, Ashley (Isreal) Requejo, Danny (Shelby-Lynn) Lyle Jr., Cody Lyle, Dylan (Allison) Lyle, Maddy Lyle; brother, Kelly Lyle; sisters, Kathy (Ronnie) Evans, Amy Courter, Becky (Curtis) Collins, Jennifer (Jim) Morgan; brother-in-law Robert (Nancy) Lewis and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on August 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Garden Park Church of God, located at 5615 Madison Ave SE, Kentwood MI. A service and celebration of life will follow.
