Garry Bond Obituary
Garry B. Bond, 78, of Pendleton, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on May 24, 1946, in Anderson, Indiana to Bernard N. Bond and Phyllis J. (Kimble) Burke. He was a graduate of Lapel High School. He retired in August of 1999 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson after 30.5 years in production.
He was a member of Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid outdoorsman.
Garry is survived by his wife whom he married August 24, 1968, Teresa A. (Webb) Bond; a son, Jason (wife, Whitney) Bond of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Bailey and Brayden; three brothers, Larry (wife, Nancy) Bond, Chris (wife, Teresa) Bond and Kavin (wife, Sherry) Bond; an aunt, Nancy (husband, Ronny) Allen; a daughter-in-law, Whitney Bond; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Dennis Bond.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Ford Street United Methodist Church, 925 North Ford Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association and Ford Street United Methodist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 N. Main St. Lapel, IN 46051.
