Garry Lee Sevedge passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2nd at Diversicare of Chanute. He was 76 years old.
Garry was born on March 14, 1948, in Willow Springs, Missouri, the son of Alvie and Essie Sevedge.
Garry was a hard-working man who loved his family and had a passion for music. He was always generous with his talents as a mechanic, engineer, and PC enthusiast. Garry grew up in humble circumstances and overcame great adversity. He worked on tractors for John Deere, ran his own automotive shop, and finally took a position with the City of Chanute working at the power plants where he retired.
Garry was most happy where family was gathered. His mischievous smile warmed the room and he enjoyed sharing stories, old and new, as well as singing Karaoke.
Garry is survived by his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Martha Sevedge, daughter Mila Sevedge, sons Bryan, John, Travis, Vincent, and numerous grandchildren.
Memorials can be made out to Horizon Hospice and may be left with or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland St. Chanute, Ks 66720
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 7th, 5pm-7pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Chanute.
