Garry Phillip Watson Jr. September 25, 1966 – September 29, 2025
Garry Phillip Watson Jr., a man whose infectious humor and loving warmth brightened the lives of all who knew him, passed away on September 29, 2025. Garry was renowned for his great personality, embodying the absolute truth that "If you knew Garry, you couldn't help loving him." He will be sorely missed.
A true jack of all trades, Garry was a highly skilled Certified Welder by trade, but his mechanical aptitude led him to spend years working as a mechanic alongside his father. Beyond his professional dexterity, Garry lived a life rich in simple pleasures and devotion. He was a man of Christian faith and a voracious reader. He had a deep appreciation for music, loving oldies and country, and was a faithful listener of his favorite radio station, KRTH.
Garry's joyful nature meant he was always telling jokes, keeping his family and friends laughing. He was a loving and helpful person who never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. He carried a creative spirit, once writing a deeply cherished poem for his grandmother, and he loved watching and playing football.
Garry's greatest joy was his family. His favorite tradition was the annual Christmas gathering, where he delighted in watching everyone exchange gifts and sharing a feast of turkey and ham with all the trimmings.
Garry is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Garry Phillip Watson Sr. and Janie Marie Watson (née Payne).
He is survived by his loving daughter, Jessica, from Florida, and his cherished grandchildren, Danny and Juliana.
Garry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted sister; Wendy, aunts; Hazel, Joy, Chona, Marilyn, Karen, and Cathy, uncles; Tim, Jonathan, Johnny, and Larry, his cousin; LaDonna from Indiana, along with a large number of other cousins and extended family.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. May Garry rest in peace beside his mother and father.
