Gary C. Ahrens, age 61, Marathon, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
He was born on March 22, 1963 to Ervin and Arletta (Braunel) Ahrens. He grew up on the family dairy/ginseng farm, Granite Hill Dairy in Marathon, WI. In 1981, he graduated from Marathon High School.
Gary met the love of his life, Connie Molthen in 1983. They were united in marriage at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Marathon on October 13, 1990.
In 1988, Gary and his brother, Russell, became partners of Granite Hill Dairy. Throughout the years, they have vastly updated and expanded it into the successful farm it is today.
He enjoyed his Sunday drives and vacations with his wife of 34 years, and spending time with family and friends. Farming was not just a job for Gary, it was a way of life. All who knew him knew he bled green, John Deere green.
Survivors include, his wife, Connie; siblings, Royal (Diane), Rodney (Suzanne), Cheryl (Paul) Preuss and Russell (Laura); father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Arlette Molthen; sister-in-law, Amber (Gib) Kopf; nieces and nephews; and his little buddy "Finn".
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Barbara Ahrens.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Memories Ballroom, 142475 County Road NN, Marathon, WI. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at Memories Ballroom.
