Gary J. Anderson

EASTON——Gary J. Anderson, 73, of Easton, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at home under the care of his family. He was the husband of 22 years to Mary M. (Harvey) Keough-Anderson. Born in Boston on February 4, 1942, a son of the late Robert T. and Dorothy (Noble) Anderson, he was raised in Roslindale and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. A veteran of the US Army he served as a PFC during the Vietnam War. Upon honorable discharge he began working for New England Telephone and was employed for 30 years as a manager. After, he worked for the Town of Sharon Public Library for 10 years. An active member and volunteer at My Brother's Keeper in Easton, he was a member of the American Legion in Sharon and the Ames Rifle & Pistol Club of Easton. His hobbies included golfing and motorcycle riding. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by four children, Tracy Anderson of San Francisco, CA., Jon T. Anderson of Seattle, WA., Julie D. Morris of Walpole and Jennifer A. Keough-Mulhern of West Roxbury; a sister, Linda Brown of Easton; a brother, Ronald Anderson of Slidell, LA.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Prayer Service on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Retreat House, 490 Washington Street, North Easton. Interment with military honors will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Gary's memory may be sent to My Brother's Keeper, PO Box 338, North Easton, MA. 02356.
