Gary Wayne Anderson, 81, of Logan, passed away at his home on Friday, October 18, 2024. Gary was born on September 27, 1943, in Logan, the son of the late John Benjamin Anderson and Mary Marie (Jeffrey) Anderson Williams.
Gary was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked at Goodyear for 32 years and South Central Power for 12 years. Gary enjoyed movie marathons with his longtime companion Bev. He also enjoyed sports; Ohio State Football, Cincinnati Reds, and playing golf to name a few.
Gary is survived by his son, Andrew John Anderson of Thornville; daughter, Debra Elaine Cassady of Fairfield Beach; step-daughters, Kim Keslar of California, Martie (Rick) Brown of Logan, and Amy (Cornel) Halliburton of Colorado; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Larry Dean (Kathy) Anderson of New Straitsville; and sister, Arlene Kay Collins of New Concord.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and longtime companion, Beverly Jean Keslar.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Charles Fidler officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan with Military Services by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
