Gary Paul Babinec

Tega Cay, SC – Mr. Gary Paul Babinec, 78, died unexpectantly on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center, Fort Mill surrounded by his family.
A native of Utica, NY, Mr. Babinec was a son of the late Paul John Babinec and Genevieve Hadzjak Babinec. Gary will be remembered as a man that loved his family and fishing. He passed his love of fishing to his grandsons, Anthony and Mike, teaching them everything about fishing. When he lived in NY, he enjoyed spending time on the St. Lawrence River and time at Kring Point. He was a handyman who enjoyed lending a helping hand to all his friends in their building projects. He enjoyed the company of his cat, Lizzy. He also loved all his friends in Tega Cay, SC.
Surviving are his three children, Darsel Excell (Thomas), Rhonda Danella (Guy) and John Babinec (Susanne); his significant other, Jamie Ringelberg and her two daughters, Josie Ringelberg and Gina Ringelberg Green; three grandchildren, Michael Excell (Kelli), Alexis Conte (Sean) and Ryan Conte; four great-grandchildren, Beckham Excell, Maverick Excell, Mason Brady, and Daphne Green; and good friend, John Burnham (Little Grasshopper.) He was preceded by his wife, Diane Doxie Babinec; his grandson and fishing buddy, Anthony Excell.
