Gary Benton Obituary

Gary was born in Colorado Springs on May 29, 1968, to Art and Jane Benton. He grew up in Colorado Springs, attended Wasson High school and graduated in 1986. He then moved to California and then to Texas and enjoyed a career of working in the ship channel. While in Texas he had a son, Gary Jr. Gary and his son returned to Colorado 22 years ago. He found a career in the family business with his son and his father.
Gary's son was the most important thing to him, and he spent his life dedicated to raising him. His son was by his side at the time of his death.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Jane Benton. He leaves behind his son, Gary, his father Art Benton, his sister Amy McCarty, his brother-in-Law Scott McCarty, a brother, Steve Benton,
3 nieces and three nephews.
Gary enjoyed many things in his life during his time in the various places he lived. He would attend drag races, roam the flea market, and watch crime shows on TV. He also had a love for his beautiful cats. Gary was a dedicated father, a loving son, a wonderful brother, and a good friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
