Gary Ralph Boyce

Gary Ralph Boyce, age 78 of Morrice passed away peacefully Friday September 12, 2025 surrounded by family. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-6:00pm Thursday September 18, 2025 with Service to follow at 6:00pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home.

Gary was born November 10,1946 in Trenton, MI to Oliver and Dorothy (Mason) Boyce. He resided in and around the Lansing area most of his life. He served in the Navy from 1963-1967. He married Susan Shaw October 6, 1979 in Morrice, MI. Together they raised two children. He also had two children from a previous marriage. He retired from General Motors where he was a forklift driver. Gary spent his younger years enjoying time with friends and family. Huge family camping trips in the U.P boating and fishing. He spent time going to motorcycle poker runs and larger events such as Breckenridge Colorado Anniversary Harley run. Later in life he enjoyed playing pool, chess, dominoes and card games with friends and family. He loved playing ponies, restaurant and spending time with his grandson Kylo. Reading books, playing grocery shopping and just spending time with his great granddaughter Evie.

Gary is survived by his wife Susan Boyce, Brother in law Robert Stahelin, Children Michelle Boyce, Todd (Marge) Shaw, Dorena Kemppainen and Patricia (Joe) Morris. Grandchildren Kylo Boyce, Autumn Shaw, Megan Allen, Melissa (Blake) Butler. Great Grandchildren Everleigh, Khloe and Lawson. Many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Dorothy Boyce, siblings Patricia Sears, Dorena Stahelin, LeRoy Boyce, Alan Boyce and Jack Boyce.
