Gary Buckner Obituary
Gary was a graduate of Madison High School and a US Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Roger Buckner.
Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandy Alexander Buckner; daughters Jamie Leyva (Daniel), and Ashley Boykin (Brian); son, Brandon Buckner, grandchildren, Cadence Boykin, Delilah Boykin, and Evelyn, who is on the way; and sister-in-law, Erika Love Buckner.
A committal service will be held 12:00pm, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following for a celebration of life at the home of Jamie Leyva from 1:30-4:00pm at 22 Stone River Drive, Asheville, NC 28804.

Hi Sandy i heard about Gary passing just a few weeks ago. He was my distant cousin. Edsel lived here on Crooked Creek aton the Will Buckner place later bought by my Grandmother. Had no idea Roger had passed either. Cant say anything to help i know but i hD a lot of fun with Gary in school and after. God bless all your family!! Jeff
